FORT PIERCE — A sibling dispute about one sister “sleeping with men for money,” led to battery charges for two Fort Pierce sisters.

About 3 a.m. Saturday, Fort Pierce Police officers were called to the 800 block of North 32nd Street after Sybil Marie Horne, 18, confronted her older sister Shrena L. Hanna, 20, and the two started fighting.

Hanna told Horne to leave the apartment the two shared and the older sister began putting Horne’s belongings outside the apartment. That’s when the two sisters started, “swinging on each other,” resulting in both sisters biting the other on the cheek, the arrest report states.

Officers noticed Horne and Hanna had minor swelling and bruising, bite marks on their cheeks. Both refused medical treatment.

During the fight, a television, small glass table, table lamp and other small items were thrown about and broken, the arrest report states. Hanna’s 2-year-old daughter was sleeping on the living room couch during the fight. But the child slept through the disturbance, the report states, and she did not appear to be injured.

Both were charged with misdemeanor battery then later declined to press charges against each other.
